Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Marketing and Subscriptions, the main purpose of the role is to identify business opportunities for corporate and group subscriptions and partnership opportunities in new and existing markets to drive subscriber volume and revenue growth. This position could be based at our Cape Town or Randburg (JHB) office. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic working relationships with clients and maintain a high level of client contact (telephonic / face to face) to ensure that their specific requirements are addressed, in order to monitor and grow existing business
  • Identify, generate, and implement new partnership opportunities on an ongoing basis in order to achieve predetermined targets
  • Business and commercial model design
  • Intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
  • Formal proposal and presentation management and writing
  • Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients
  • Implement and co-ordinate client related project plans
  • Proactively and timeously identify and resolve issues, addressing problems and opportunities central to business success
  • Prepare relevant reports to management as required and keep all administrative work updated
  • Perform trend analyses and interpretations and utilize business intelligence effectively
  • Identify opportunities for activations and events targeted at group subscriptions and manage these opportunities independently.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Business or Marketing degree or equivalent qualification
  • Prior marketing or sales development experience would be an advantage, especially in a digital environment
