Media24 News has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic admin manager/PA. This person will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the smooth functioning of the day-to-day operations and administrative functions for the News support departments. This position will be based in Cape Town and report to the General Manager for News.

Key responsibilities:
  • Finding and booking travel and accommodation;
  • Answering phones and taking messages;
  • Diary management; 
  • Plan and manage meetings and events;
  • Book and manage meeting rooms;
  • Assisting new employees with administration;
  • Assisting with freelance and contract payments;
  • Co-ordinate, control and order office equipment and stationary, monitoring stock levels;
  • Create purchase orders as required;
  • Manage office facilities and equipment through regular and appropriate interaction with relevant service providers;
  • Deliver support service to internal stakeholders;
  • Manage the ordering and storing of refreshments;
  • Keep record of and report on various employee expenses i.e. expense, cellphone and other claims;
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Ensure all supplier contracts are signed, file and aligned with company policies;
  • Co-ordinate, plan and manage any office moves
  • Performing finance admin functions e.g collating and packing information and presentations as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience as office manager or PA;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be preferred;
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office suite and related systems.
  • SAP knowledge and experience an advantage
  • Person of high integrity who can work under pressure and perform tasks without fault;
  • Great people skills and the ability to manage difficult assignments;
  • Energetic, passionate and committed to personal development.
