||To assist the Depot Manager with day to day management and execution of the depot including responsibility for elements of warehouse logistics, human resources, administration, cash debtors and customer service.
||- Matric or equivalent or related experience. - Degree or studying towards a degree in the field - Valid driver's license at least code EB. - 2 - 3 years' inventory experience; - 2 - 3 year team lead experience. - Previous experience in FMCG - Retail experience - Knowledge of financial principles; - Experience in warehousing administration. - Proficient in relevant software packages and applications (such as SAP, Reach, etc).

|Duties & Responsibilities
||- In conjunction with the Depot Manager, maximize the efficiency and productivity levels of all aspects of the depot's operation, continuously seeking to optimize processes and find value add opportunities for the depot; - In conjunction with the Depot Manager, ensure that the depot meets all operational targets, both creating value for the business and meeting internal and external customer service level agreements; - In conjunction with the depot Manager, ensure achievement of budgeted and agreed financial performance of the depot by focusing on core business drivers; - Assist Depot Manager with inventory control and reporting on depot's inventory movement; - Build effective, value adding, transparent relationships with all stakeholders (customers, suppliers and employees) through regular communication, reporting and personal interaction; - Manage compliance with service level agreements, including compliance by service providers, alerting the Depot Manager to instances of non-compliance; - Contribute to the effective management of company assets and minimize loss through adherence to all relevant company standard operating procedures; - In conjunction with Depot Manager, plan for, select, develop, retain suitable staff for depots and develop and maintain a high performance team; - Embed and sustain the organization's culture and values in the depot; - Monitor compliance with management controls, good governance practices, policies and procedures and all relevant legal and statutory requirements, escalating non-compliance to the Depot Manager where required; - Seek to continuously develop knowledge and information about the competitor actively and communicate this to the relevant departments and the company; - Quality control and performance management teams, in terms of service levels, delivery frequency and standard operating procedures; - Ensure efficient inventory management and the security of all assets and people by enforcing security policies at the depot.
