Boland Media a subsidiary of Media24 is looking for a vibrant and dynamic Sales Manager to manage the performance of the sales function for Breederivier in line with the divisional strategy and operating plan to maximise sales and expand market share and achieve sales revenue targets in the print media environment.

Minimum Requirements

Min Grade 12; A relevant sales or marketing qualification. 5 years’ proven sales management experience. Experience in advertising and media sales. Proficiency in relevant software applications and packages. SAP experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Translate divisional sales strategies into operational plans for the titles to drive sales and meet and exceed sales targets; • Implement operational plans and priorities that align with the divisional sales strategy plan, canvas and develop new business opportunities and implement new sales concepts to maintain and expand market share; • Analyse and report on sales opportunities and achievements, and use data analyses to identify further opportunities; • Motivate, manage and develop a team of sales representatives to ensure achievement of pre-determined revenue targets for the titles; • Build strategic relationships with clients and other internal and external stakeholders through regular and ongoing communication; • Constantly evaluate and improve sales methods to ensure maximum efficiency; • Deliver sales presentations and proposals if and when required; • Provide input into the annual budget for the titles that supports the sales strategy and sales operating plan; • Manage and attain revenue and expense budget objectives for the titles; • Work closely with marketing services and media analysts to support the sales strategies; • Keep abreast of latest trends in sales effectiveness and adopt new approaches as required to expand client base and increase revenue; and • Oversee and manage all administrative duties.
