Main purpose of the role
To develop, implement and manage the marketing strategy for the division to ensure an increased awareness of the brands and to ensure that the various target markets are constantly exposed to the brands
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the division that aims at actively increasing market share;
Manage and ensure the execution of all marketing plans (strategic and tactical) that have been developed in consultation with the key stakeholders;
Develop, effectively manage and execute all marketing activities around acquisition and retention campaigns and promotions to encourage brand loyalty and to ensure product differentiation;
Develop and sustain relationships with decision makers, advertisers and other relevant media;
Effectively negotiate with sponsors and partners;
Coordinate PR projects and liaise with PR companies and agencies, issue press releases when required;
Prepare monthly departmental management reports;
Compile and deliver the annual budget that supports the marketing strategy and operating plan;
Manage and attain budget objectives;
Work closely with the Sales Manager to support the marketing strategies;
Motivate, manage and develop the marketing team to ensure the achievement of performance objectives; and
Continuously analyse markets and identify marketing-related risks and opportunities.

At least 6-8 years’ experience in marketing in a related industry, of which 3 years on a senior level |
