||On the Dot, a subsidiary of Media24 in Gauteng, currently requires the services of a Key Account Manager. We seek to appoint a dynamic and energetic individual to assume responsibility as Key Account Manager, reporting to the Commercial Manager. The position will be based at their offices in Auckland Park. Main purpose of the role • To build strong relations with the national buyers of various retail groups by providing strategic and specialist input to the retailer/OTD. Actively drive sales of all OTD products in retail through category management, merchandising and promotion initiatives; liaising between the retailer, OTD and publishers. Manage service levels within the supply chain and explore innovative sales platforms/channels within the retail environment in such a manner that ensures profitability for OTD is maximized.
||• Grade 12 • Tertiary education (business/ marketing/ logistics) with a special focus on CRM, customer centricity • Min 5 years’ experience in a logistics, media or retail environment; • 2 - 4 years’ experience in Account Management; • Computer (advanced Excel, BI/ERP tools, MS Office); • Proven sales track record and strong selling abilities • Good understanding of category management and basic merchandising principles • Successful track record of value add to service and processes; and • Previous leadership/management exposure on middle management level.

|Duties & Responsibilities
||• Compile sales strategy for each retail account according to set budgets and targets; • Implement and drive the sales, merchandising and promotional strategies; • Identify and target new business opportunities • Influence retail buyers and channel managers to maintain service standards according to the SLA (integrate and coordinate); • Target/goal management: annual setup, weekly/monthly/annual monitoring; • Information management: trend analysis, communication to role players, reporting interpretation; and • Review/analyse any available BI to optimize selling opportunities re availability, footprint and visibility.
